In 1970 Andrew Jaworski represented MTL Instruments Group Plc in
South Africa, and because of its popularity and successful sales
among the various industries,
Andrew formed Extech Safety Systems in the August of 1987. In
1989, K V Dahya joined Andrew to assist him with sales and
promotion of the MTL products.
Extech Safety System’s primary activity was to assist and serve
the market place and the industries that required
instrumentation for hazardous areas, especially
intrinsic safety.
Extech have also represented BEKA in South Africa for over 20 years.
BEKA's products compliment MTL's products by offering displays in
the Hazardous Area.
In 2003, Temperature Controls (Pty) Ltd became second agents for
MTL for Surge Protection, Fieldbus and Process IO
products. In March 2005 the directors
of Temperature Controls (Pty) Ltd, Les Friend and Andy Brown,
bought Extech Safety Sytems as Andrew decided to retire. Andrew
however assisted on a consultancy basis.
The staff of Extech Safety Systems moved to Temperature
Controls’ premises and the two companies joined forces. In 2006
Extech Safety Systems changed from a CC to a Pty Ltd.
The proud and hard-working staff of Extech Safety Systems (Pty)
Ltd are K V Dahya, who is the Technical Manager; Chandrika
Vallabh is the financial controller and Gary Friend as a Sales
Director who returned to South Africa, having worked for MTL in
the UK for 11 years. |
